बोकारो के कत्थक डांसर विकास कुमार को पंडित अर्जुन मिश्रा अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। शुक्रवार 17 जनवरी को दिल्ली के त्रिवेणी ऑडिटोरियाम में आयोजित दुर्गा रंग महोत्सव में दौरान विकास को यह सम्मान मिलेगा।
विकास ने यह उपलब्धि प्राप्त करने को लेकर कहा कि लखनऊ घराने के कथक को एक नई पहचान देने वाले स्व. पंडित अर्जुन मिश्रा का सम्मान मिलना किसी भी कलाकार के गौरव की बात है। ऐसे सम्मान से कला के प्रति कुछ नया करने की चाह व समर्पण और बढ़ेगा। बोकारो के बालीडीह में रहने वाले विकास कत्थक डांस करने के साथ ही कोरियोग्राफर भी हैं। इससे पहले गिनिज बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड में अपना नाम दर्ज करा चुके हैं। वर्तमान में विकास भाई व बहन के साथ दिल्ली में ही रहकर कत्थक का प्रशिक्षण लेते हैं।

Technical Piece in Teentaal and than Tarana. Our Last piece was Shiv- Stuti.
GANESH VANDANA: The dancer begins with an invocation to the divinity. Vandana means prayer , a dance item that is performed as prayer.
TARANA : Tarana is a rhythmic Kathak Dance in which the beauty of rhythm is explained through various movements, various combinations of rhythmic phrases, and stances.
Shiv-Stuti : A Powerful presentation by Vikash & Shweta, song is composed in Dhrupad.
